Prayerfully Speaking

Hope from the Truths of God's Word

A Glimpse of God

This sweet young lady is my niece, Leigh Ann White.  Today is her birthday.

Her giggle still rings in my heart. The last time I heard it was May of 2005. She’s been dancing with Jesus since then.  Along with that adorable giggle, there were so many things about her that I enjoyed.

I believe every one of those things I loved in Leigh Ann was a reflection of the beauty, the playfulness, the kindness of God.  He shared a snapshot of Himself with us in the form of Leigh Ann.

Have you ever imagined God giggling? Me neither – but He must! I can’t imagine He gave us the pleasure of a giggle without creating it and experiencing it for Himself. Today I celebrate that I heard Him giggle through her.

I want to encourage you to see the glory of God in the simple little things you see in others. They are gifts – glimpses of Himself.

He is forever! He never changes. His character, His power, His love and His playfulness will always be. But the people He uses to show Himself to us will not remain on Earth or in our lives forever. Savor them. Savor Him in them.

About Jennifer O. White

I'm a simple wife who has discovered God's amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you've ever imaged.

I remember someone like this as well.

I would think that both are meeting and visiting in a far better place.

There is a glorious day ahead for all, and indeed a smile on the face of a loving God – who made us all.

  4. So beautiful… I am sure she is dancing and giggling now in the prescence of the angels. I am also sure you miss her deeply.

Yes, I have imagined God giggling. At us, with us. And I always say that God has a sense of humor or he wouldn’t have made cats. They always make me laugh.
