Hope from the Truths of God's Word

Fearless Minds: A Real Possibility

Fear is the enemy of our faith. The more fear is nurtured, the less we believe God can or will do anything about what we fear. God tells us “do not fear” over 300 times in His Word. But HOW? How can we live without fear?

I know this one thing. God’s Word is the active ingredient to every transformation that is good. It is THE TRUTH. It is able to change our desires and our thoughts bringing peace that can not be explained. That is what reading and speaking His Word has done in my life.

The following prayers are copied straight from pages of the book – Prayers that Avail Muchby Germaine Copeland. They are based on Scripture …. so they are truth. They agree with who God is and what He wants. Applying these truths WILL open the door to peace and faith. Be brave enough to agree with God.

God, You have good things reserved for my future. All my need will be met according to Your riches in glory. I will replace worry for my family with asking You to protect and care for them. You are love, and perfect love casts out fear.

Father, You have delivered me from the spirit of fear, and I shall not be ashamed.  Neither will I be confounded and depressed. You gave me beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness that I might be a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that you might be glorified.

You anointed Jesus and sent Him to bind up and heal my broken heart and liberate me from the shame of my youth and the imperfections of my caretakers.

Lord, you lift up those who are bowed down. You have thoughts and plans for my welfare and peace. My mind is stayed on You, for I stop allowing myself to be agitated and disturbed and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.

In the name of Jesus, I loose my mind from wrong thought patterns. I submit to You, Father, and resist fear, discouragement, self-pity, and depression. I will not give place to the devil by harboring resentment and holding onto anger. I am an over comer by the word of my testimony and the blood of the Lamb.

Father, I thank you that I have been given a spirit of power and love and of a calm and well-balanced mind. I have discipline and self-control. I have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings, and purposes of His heart.

With my soul I will bless the Lord with every thought and purpose in my life. My mind will not wander out of the presence of God. My life shall glorify the Father – spirit, soul, and body. I set my mind and keep it set on what is above – the higher things – not on the things that are on the earth.

Whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, I will think on and weigh and take account of these things – I will fix my mind on them.

The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.

About Jennifer O. White

I’m a simple wife who has discovered God’s amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you’ve ever imaged.

Jennifer,  Thanks so much for this post.  It really hits home for me right now as I am awaiting some major surgery in a month and things are starting to get very overwhelming right now.  I know that our God is an awesome god….but for some reason,  I have the jitters all the time and no matter what I do….I can’t get that peace back.
I will save this post and read it every day as I know it’s the truth.
    Thanks again,

Donna. I’m so happy that God has encouraged you with truth from His Word. He is trustworthy and He is for you. He already knows how your surgery will go and has a plan to take great care of you. Agree with Him and not the spirit of fear that comes from our enemy. I pray that every resource at God’s disposal will be used to heal your body and encourage your soul.

I love this line … “God’s Word is the active ingredient to every transformation that is good.” So true! Praying His Word back to Him is the most powerful way to pray. Thanks for sharing these beautiful prayers.

Thanks for your encouraging words.  I know that they come from God, and that I need to remember the part about God already knowing how the surgery will come out…..then I will deal with the healing because God is the great Healer.  The fear comes from a previous surgery that went wrong…that is part of the fear.   Your words that comes from God are inspiring and very useful in my life.  I will do my best to keep the enemy away.
    God Bless,
