Fun Food for Fall Festivities (inspired by Pinterest)

Pinterest.com is so much fun! Have you joined it yet?

Pinterest is like an enormous, “living,” communal cork board. When you find something online that you want to remember – a recipe, craft project, beautiful image, quote – you “pin” it to one of your boards.

Just a few minutes on the site and I’m inspired. Yes – it can be a time-waster if you let it. But, because of it, I find myself creating more and having more fun because of the things I discover there.

This weekend, I helped make these “edible acorns” I discovered on Pinterest. SO easy and very festive for the fall. Here’s the quick and EASY recipe! (it’s child friendly too if you don’t mind a mess)

EDIBLE ACORNS

  • 2 Dozen Donut Holes
  • Nutella
  • Chocolate Sprinkles
  • Pretzel sticks (Short)

1. Spread Nutella on the top of a donut hole.

2. Roll the top covered in Nutella in a bowl of chocolate sprinkles

3. Insert pretzel stick in the top leaving approximately one inch on the outside of the donut hole.

Serve fresh and watch them disappear.

Ok – so this recipe is fun, fast and festive. But it’s not a healthy choice. If any of you creative cooks have a healthier alternative to this, I want to hear about it!

God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you’ve ever imaged.
