Hope from the Truths of God's Word

Praying for Someone Wounded and Hopeless

Frangipane quote Christ is the Cure

We are in community with people who are truly wounded. Unless we are listening to the promptings of God’s Spirit in us, we can easily overlook them. If we are honest, we may see a need and just not know what to do.

The Bible promises:

In the presence of Jesus we find the fullness of joy (Ps 16:11).

How do we, the body of Christ, help someone wracked with despair experience the “fullness of joy” in Jesus’ presence?

By the power of His Spirit, each of us can live with overwhelming hope (Rom 15:13). And we can help others do the same by praying for them.

One Simple Prayer:

May the God of hope fill _____ with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit ______ may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13) It is in the all powerful name of Jesus, I pray. Amen

Do you believe helping can be that simple?

“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” (Matt 21:22)

Pray with Me:

Lord grant us the faith of a child. Help us to believe in Your extravagant love for our hurting friends. Forgive us where we doubt you, and strengthen our faith. Amen.

I'm a simple wife who has discovered God's amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you've ever imaged.
