Hope from the Truths of God's Word

He is God of Science: a Prayer for Churches

Today we are joining together in prayer. In unity, we seek God for His power to bring honor to His own name.

A Prayer for Churches and Their Leaders

Churches lead us to honor God and His holy, infallible Word. But there is a spiritual battle raging to discount the Bible. False teachers are working to dismiss the reality of hell, the reality of Adam as a human, and God as our Creator. If you are not aware that this is happening, I encourage you to do a little research. Why wouldn’t God’s arch enemy target the validity of the Bible using the bride of Christ. He is subtle, sly, and so very busy.

Using Psalm 19 as a guide, we can proclaim God’s Word as the Sword in this battle. It is the weapon Jesus chose in a face off with satan in the desert. We can make our requests to God based on His Word trusting that when we ask according to His will, His answer is Yes.

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; — Revive our pastor and church staff with the sustaining power of Your perfect Word today Lord. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; — Let the power of Your testimony fill our church with Your wisdom – pure and simple wisdom. Psalm 19:7

The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; — thank You for Your faithful teachings that are always right. Let them fill our church leaders, elders, deacons, teachers, volunteers with pure joy – radiating joy. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; — purify our church Lord. Grant our church family to see the Bible from Your perspective. Let science be seen as Your creation. Psalm 19:8

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; — You created the now and “forever” we can only dream about. Fill our church family with awe at Your creative power and enduring nature. The rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. — Let every member of our church community KNOW Your Word to be true. Psalm 19:9

More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. — Bring this church congregation to a pure pursuit of Your Word over money, food, entertainment, travel, anything! Psalm 19:10

Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. — Oh Father, let Your Holy Spirit at work in us help our church body to submit to keep Your Word. Psalm 19:11

About Jennifer O. White

I’m a simple wife who has discovered God’s amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you’ve ever imaged.

I couldn’t agree more Jennifer and I join you in your prayer for the church. We must revere God’s Word to guard against deception.

Lord give us eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to discern the truth from lies. Amen.
