Hope from the Truths of God's Word

Impossible – Don’t think so!

Mark 9:20-24

20So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirit saw Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion, and he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the mouth.

21 “How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father.

He replied, “Since he was a little boy. 22 The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”

23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

24 The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

I hear Kari Jobe’s song – “Healer” in my heart often. Have you heard it?

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8oWuU3jkwU?rel=0&w=425&h=349] I believe You’re my healer
I believe You’re my portion
I believe You’re more than enough for me.
Jesus You’re all I need.

He holds the world in His hands!!  What is impossible with man, is possible with God! I want to spend my days and nights making lists of what is possible with God. Tommy Newberry, author of the 4:8 Principle, taught me that if we make a list of all the things that are possible, we will never have time to think of or worry about what is impossible.

Lord forgive my unbelief and help me to think your thoughts. Let your Holy Spirit show me your mysterious ways and help me to believe in what you are able to do! Let me sound the call to those who will hear that you are ABLE to do infinitely more than we can ask or think.

About Jennifer O. White

I’m a simple wife who has discovered God’s amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you’ve ever imaged.
