Hope from the Truths of God's Word

Jeremiah 31:3 Love

Long ago the Lord said to Israel:
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV

Today I am sharing with you how I am making the truths of Jeremiah 31:3 real in my life.

  • I have loved you Jennifer with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to myself.
  • Jennifer, you are my people, my family. You belong to me, Jennifer.
  • Jennifer, I have loved you with a love that is everlasting. Did you hear that? My love for you will never end, Jennifer. I have and I will always love you.
  • Jennifer, I draw you to myself. I will not fail to draw you to myself. Do you believe that I do not fail at this Jennifer? My love for you is active. I am actively drawing you to myself.

Thank you to the God who created me! Thank you for being perfect at loving. You are faithful, not just for a moment, a year, a season of my life. You are faithful regardless of who I am. Your love for me is going to never end. I want to live out this truth. Let it move me to feel free from performance based anxiety in our relationship.

Thank you for making me yours. I celebrate your unfailing love that has pursued me from the very beginning. Thank you for knowing me and wanting me. Thank you for never giving up on me. I praise you for loving unlike any human. Please help me to receive your perfect love.

Ok – your turn! How do you experience God in Jeremiah 31:3?

  1. I read it out loud, inserting my own name, and praying…(that’s my “how”)

Also, that verse has been special to me for a few years. God led me to The Message version while I was in Teacher Training, and I had some very personal moments with it! (so, it’s like an old friend, and always a gift.)
Expect love, love, and more love.
    Blessed blog!

  2. beautiful! 🙂
