Meet the Family!

Mom and Trav

Meet my mom and my brother!  I have a huge and wonderful family. I won’t run out of people to introduce you to for quite a while.  I plan to introduce you to my family, friends and all those who deeply inspire me and show me the characteristics of Jesus.

(This picture was taken on the land where I was raised – Loyd Bridge Road near the small town of Cheneyville, Louisiana. It is a serene place to be and I am so grateful that I enjoyed rural living as a child.)

Counting my blessings for Mom (Janet Moriarty). She is:

  • Positive – always looking for the silver lining in a situation
  • Energetic – she gets more done in a day than I do in a week
  • Helpful – the ready servant to anyone she discovers has a need.
  • Adventurous – she loves to explore new territory and create new things
  • Talented – she can sew, cook, garden, teach, and OH so much more
  • Gifted – she daily reflects the gift of hospitality, some days in her home and other days she delivers it to someone’s doorstep
  • Committed – you won’t see this woman quit!
  • I could go on – but the I must leave room for Travis

Counting my blessings for my  brother (Travis Odom). He is:

  • Gentle and kind-hearted towards all – especially someone in need
  • Fun! and free with laughter. I love to hear him laugh
  • Committed husband, father, son, brother, and the list goes on
  • Creative. His mind is always looking for creative ways to bless others.
  • Artist. His talents run deep and wide and there is always a form of art to them.
  • Helpful and caring
  • Easy to get along with
  • One of the best photographers I know.

I could write for hours on how Mom and Travis bless me. But work is calling and I need to make BBQ Shrimp before I leave. Tomorrow I will post the recipe for you.

For today, be glad of all that you have!

About Jennifer O. White

I’m a simple wife who has discovered God’s amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you’ve ever imaged.

Today, let me tell you about my sister.
Jennifer is the sweetest sister a brother could have. She loves people, like Jesus. She is quick to inspire, encourage, and find the best in others around her. She is patient and long suffering, and deeply committed to her family and her God. She is truly a sparkling diamond in a dark world. And I Love her very much. And I know that Jesus must be VERY proud of her, as am I.
