Hope from the Truths of God's Word

Praying God’s Word and Living for Christ

When I am desperate to connect with God, I know I can read the Bible and pray through what I have read. This helps me not rush through a passage. It helps me apply it to my life and process it with God. The time I spend doing this gets His word into me, and slows me down to communicate with God. I’m sharing this with you in hopes that it will encourage You as you read and connect with Him.
Philippians 1:20-26
For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live. Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of your faith. And when I come to you again, you will have even more reason to take pride in Christ Jesus because of what he is doing through me.

As God's child, a new Creation, God's DNA is in me. I want to continue to be BOLD for you Jesus. Thank You that Your DNA is inside me which means I am BOLD.I trust that my life will bring honor to You, whether I live or die.I can depend on Your love, power, shepherding, guidance, leadership, and teaching to ensure that each day I bring honor to You, Jesus. I am infected with You (a vessel filled with You). Your power and love and sound mind are stronger than the sin nature that is also a part of me.

When I am gone from this world, I realize that You can use anything I did while living to influence others to know You, to have Your DNA as theirs.  I will die and go to enjoy life with you completely when it will benefit You the most. My life on earth is in Your hands. My departure from this world, is also in Your hands.

Living means I live for You. Help me to not lose focus on this truth. Busyness is my biggest distraction. Guide me away from the activities that will exhaust me and not prove to be the best use of my life on this earth. Let Your Spirit in me, discern what is best over what is good. I can’t hear You to follow You if I’m too busy. Guide me, Lord. I need Your help.

Thank You that the pressures of this world make me want to live with You and the perfection of Heaven. I’d rather be with You where bad things don’t happen to people and where I know and understand You completely.

Fasten my will to Yours, Lord. Strengthen me to press forward knowing I am here to serve You. Let Your Spirit remind me daily that You want more people to grow and experience the joy of faith in You.  Remind me that I am here to help make this happen. My body is the temple of Your Holy Spirit to be used for this purpose.

Strengthen my resolve Lord. Let Your DNA be even more evident. Help me to experience and display the joy of knowing and serving You.

Amen
