Quick & Easy “OOH & AHH” Apple Dip

Sharing with you today a quick and tasty appetizer that I serve throughout the year. It’s a part very healthy, part “OMYGOSH what is this and can I have the recipe” dish.

Apple Dip with Apples (that never brown)

Slice 5-8 of your favorite apples (use red and green for a Christmas festive appeal) with your apple slicer/corer.
In a ziploc bag or bowl, pour enough pineapple juice to wet your apples. Turn the apples in the juice a few times. This keeps them from turning brown and adds a hint of sweetness. I keep the small cans on hand for this.

Store the apples in the juice in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve them.

In another bowl mix the following until it looks like a chunky caramel dip:

1 8 oz bar of cream cheese softened
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Cup of Heath Toffee Bar Bits (you can find these with the chocolate chips in the baking aisle)
1 tsp of vanilla

That’s all there is to it.  The apples and the dip keep in the fridge for at least 3 days.

This is an excellent dish for Christmas and other holiday parties. And it is a great homemade gift to your friends who will be busy entertaining.

On a healthy note, serving this insures you will have a guilt free snacking option at your next party. Just eat the apples and skip the dip.
