Hope from the Truths of God's Word

Seeing God Fulfill His Word

I’m still in awe of the power of God’s word. I want to agree with everything He says. Today I read the following from Psalm 113:7-8.

He raises the poor from the dust
   and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
8 he seats them with princes,
   with the princes of his people.

I believe with all my heart that this is exactly what God does.  I take these words literally. I also take the words “poor” and “needy” figuratively. (I will consult my Bible scholar friend on that issue later today.)

He is at work doing this for me today. I have confessed to Him this morning, my weaknesses in several areas and my desire for His power to rest on me. I am thankful to be aware of this need of His power, wisdom, and goodness. And I know from experience that He is at work today applying those attributes of Himself in my life.

Just yesterday, He answered one of the questions of my heart (a need) as I listened to Gary Smalley explain how he visualizes His dreams becoming reality. He used the voice of a “prince” in my eyes and the eyes of so many. Creatively, God supplied my need and used a prince to do it.I believe this answer is one way that God will cause me to succeed, to prosper.

You and I can agree today with this scripture over our own needs and the needs of those you love. Thank Him for the ways He has already done this. And agree with Him that it is in His nature to continue doing this.

I would love to hear from you how He is at work fulfilling this scripture in your life today.

About Jennifer O. White

I’m a simple wife who has discovered God’s amazing gift of prayer. Here at Prayerfully Speaking I share my journey of unwrapping this gift. God invites us to ask Him, but His enemy works diligently to keep that from happening. I hope to offer you encouragement to believe God is ready to pour more into your life than you’ve ever imaged.
