September Goals: My 3n30 Check-Up

The 3 in 30 Challenge has been a great help to me. It’s hard to explain how the community aspect of the challenge helps me to follow through more easily. Just seeing the other people’s blogs and tweets about the challenge gives me “i can do it” motivation. And I love the inspiring quotes that @3n30 tweets to us.

Since starting in July, I’ve been trying to work routines into my days/weeks. I’m still doing really well maintaining an early morning JOY routine. I am becoming more confident and definitely more joyful. Setting my focus on things that are true, pure, honorable, praise worthy, fair, acceptable and commendable is improving my relationship with God. I’m more relaxed and like myself more.

In August my #1 goal was to write and post a blog every day. I did that for one week and backed off to 5x a week (week days). I’m happy with that. Just checked my stats and I’m really excited at the number of visits to my blog in August: more than 1/3 of the visits I had in 2010.

I’ve got room to improve in the exercise department. My #2 goal was to walk 4 miles a week and listen to books while doing this. A trip out of town and feeling badly resulted in a broken routine and difficulty getting back to it.

#3 was to plan my days in advance. I seriously need an intervention on this one. Does anyone want to be my accountability partner? Should I not let myself eat dinner until this is done?

Inspiration for the 1st Sewing Project

September 3n30 Goals are:
1. Exercise regularly to include 4 miles of walking per week while listening to a book.
2. Finish 2 sewing projects (currently working on one inspired by Pinterest).
3. Get my husband’s company facebook page branded and working for him.

I will maintain my Early Joy Routine and blogging 5x a week at this address.  One way I plan to hold myself more accountable to these goals is to add them to my Early Morning Joy routine template I keep in evernote.com. Saying them outloud at the  beginning of each day should really help me stay focused.

I accept prayer and tips for success in the comment section below. Blessings to you in achieving more than you can dream in September 2011. Remember, Jesus lives in us and his unlimited resources are available to us so that He can accomplish infinitely more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:16 & 20).

I recommend 3 in 30 for help with goal setting & accountability.

Thanks for stopping in to read my post. I’m enjoying sewing again. My grandmother and my mother are seamstresses. I want to keep that going! The early morning Joy routine is truly growing me.

  3. Thank you for visiting my 3in30 post! I too need to plan your #3 for my husband in October. I have his website which needs updating and his fb page which needs promoting. I didn’t see your update for this week but will check back later. All the best to you and your goals!

I did not update my blog on my #3n30 this week. I will either post one or tweet it with the hashtag. I would love to know how you did the update on your goals in the widget on the right side bar. Great job!
