What Could God Do through You?
He used a shepherd boy to kill a giant.
He used an unwed teenage virgin to birth the savior
He used Peter’s shadow to heal people
He used a boy’s lunch to feed thousands of people.
Elisha’s dead bones were still infused with the power of God.
Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. When the body touched Elisha’s bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet. 2 Kings 13:21
What could God do through you? I wonder what He has already done and the ripple effects it has had on the faith of others. Imagine what He has planned for us to do next.
Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
He is able.
The power comes from Him. The power to open closed doors and move mountains already exists in Him and He is alive in us. Together let’s reject the spirit of unbelief and timidity that keeps us from being the vessel He uses to do great and mighty things. Let’s really trust that He uses weak, ordinary people.
The WOW of God revealed through us is not about us. It’s for the glory of His great name.
God, I believe You can use me to do more than I can imagine. Help me overcome my doubts about You and my focus on the limitations of me. Use me to reveal Yourself in whatever way You want. Forgive me for my timidity. Fill me up with courage and truth. In Jesus I pray. Amen
