How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them. Psalm 111:2

Have you ever considered that the creation of YOU is one of God’s amazing deeds? He has done great things, and you—yes, you—are one of them!

The Struggle to See Our Worth

Many people wrestle with their worth, struggling to believe anything about them is amazing. Some spend their entire lives striving to be extraordinary, not realizing that the most amazing thing about them is Who created them.

The perfect Father of all made a deliberate choice to bring you into this world. While your biological parents were the instruments He used to get you here, they do not define your worth.

Instead, the One who created you does:

⭐You are fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:14)

⭐You are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works. (Ephesians 2:10)

⭐All things (including you) were created by Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16)

What Defines Your Worth?

Your worth is not defined by achievements, failures, or opinions. It is defined by Who wanted you and created you. Your value is also revealed in what God was willing to give to bring you back to Him.

God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit united for one grand purpose—to rescue you from a life separated from His goodness.

⭐Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:29

⭐Jesus said: “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10

If God’s desire was to give us a rich and satisfying life in Christ, how could we ever believe we are worth little to Him?

Jesus Emptied Himself for You

Philippians 2:6-8 reveals the depth of God’s love for you:

“…though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”Philippians 2:6-8, ESV

Another translation puts it this way:

“He gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave.”Philippians 2:7, NLT

Think about that! While we struggle to give up simple comforts, Jesus willingly gave up the glory of heaven. He took on human limitations, pain, and even death because you were worth it to Him.

And He didn’t do this for the perfect or the “good enough.” He did it while we were His enemies!

So Many Amazing Deeds—Including You!

You are God’s great idea. When sin threatened to separate you from Him forever, God intervened. He proved your worth by sending His most precious treasure—Jesus—to pay the price for your redemption.

But God’s amazing deeds didn’t stop there.

He also gave us the Holy Spirit so that we can live every moment with His help, guidance, and presence. You were not left out. Neither was I!

A Reminder of Your Worth

If this message has touched your heart, consider sharing it with someone who needs to hear it. Our Prayer Mail greeting card on this very topic is a perfect way to remind a friend, family member, or even yourself of this truth:

God wanted you. God values you. And that will never change.

A Final Thought

You probably noticed I didn’t bring sin into this conversation about your worth. Sin is an essential topic because it separates you and me from the God who loves and values us SO MUCH! Why would we want to live separate from His goodness and His lovingkindness that is better than life? But … we do things that separate us from this perfect, unchanging source of love!

God knew we would sin and that we would want to hide from Him. But His love covers a multitude of sins! He’s been covering sinners since Adam and Eve tried to hide their nakedness with those crazy, scratchy fig leaves. The Bible ensures us so many times that His mercy endures forever, and it is new every morning. Great is His faithfulness to forgive us and restore us to Himself with the dignity only Jesus really deserves!

And it is His kindness that leads us to true repentance. (Romans 2:4)

A prayer for us from Ephesians 1:17 NIV: I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
